PM Vishwakarma — concessional credit for traditional artisans.
Recognition, skilling and collateral-free credit at 5% interest for artisans and craftspeople across 18 traditional trades — from carpenters and blacksmiths to tailors and goldsmiths.
Credit that follows the craft
Registered artisans receive a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID, skill training with a daily stipend, and a ₹15,000 toolkit incentive. Credit support comes as a first tranche of ₹1 lakh, followed by ₹2 lakh after repayment and continued activity.
Interest is capped at 5% for the borrower, with the government subventing the balance to the lender. Registration runs through Common Service Centres on the PM Vishwakarma portal.
